BIOGRAPHY

Rafael Kyrychenko is an internationally acclaimed pianist, prizewinner of numerous prestigious competitions across Europe, the United States and Japan. He began his studies at the age of five with his mother, Cristina Pliousnina. 

Recognized for his refined artistry, expressive depth, and technical command, Rafael has performed in major concert halls including the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Wigmore Hall, Sakura Concert Hall, Hamamatsu Act City, Salle Cortot, Palau de la Música Catalana, Casa da Música, Centro Cultural de Belém, Fundação Gulbenkian Auditorium, and Flagey Studios. He has appeared as a soloist under distinguished conductors such as Vassily Sinaisky, Mikhail Jurowski, Andrew Gourlay, Michael Schonwandt, Philippe Entremont, Andris Poga, and Joseph Swensen. 

Rafael has worked with world-renowned pianists and pedagogues including Maria João Pires, Philippe Entremont, Dmitry Bashkirov, Michel Béroff, and Artur Pizarro. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Great Distinction under Prof. Daniel Blumenthal, he furthered his studies at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth, the Imola Piano Academy, and currently at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Profs. Milana Chernyavska, Claudio Martinez-Mehner and Marta Gulyás.
