1965
1st edition of Santa Cecília Competition.
2012
Santa Cecília International Competition became international for the first time.
2015
Since this year, Santa Cecília became exclusively a piano competition, with jury from abroad.
2016
This was the first time that Santa Cecília International Competition organized the Main Category, open to professional and talented pianists from all over the world. Since then, the final concert is always with an Orchestra.
2017
Santa Cecília International Competition became member of Alink-Argerich Foundation.
2020
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Santa Cecília International Competition keeps the competition presential, with a very special edition in november.
2021
Santa Cecília International Competition is recognized and became member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions.
2022
The most popular edition ever. Casa da Música was “full” for the final concert.
2023
Santa Cecília International Competition starts a year of celebrations for the 25th anniversary.
